Is it better to go to Home Depot and pick out your own supplies to give to the contractor or give them a list and let them get it for u? Would that affect the bid price they put in to get the job?

If its small misc. items Id say send the contractor to get what he needs then pay for the order by phone. If its large purchases with specific items id make the purchase myself. If you have a contractor make a material list and you have a day to wait you can use the contractor services website and order exactly what you want, they'll deliver to your job site. I dont think one method is better than the other all the time just depends. Hope this helps.
