Homeownership % at several years low
Hello all,
Without making this a political discussion, are any of you guys concerned about the long term down trend of home-ownership %? Per some analysis, home-ownership % will be around 55% from 62-63% right now in next 25-30 years.
Home equity is a major source of wealth for many people and it builds homeowners confidence to spend more when they know their home values are going up. But with more and more people choosing to rent and people in general not naturally geared to be savers, how do you guys see this playing out in the long term?
Look forward to some responses.
