Starter Investor in the NJ area with 250k
Hi ! I am a small business owner who has saved up about 250k in savings and is looking to get started in investing.
I jumped into looking for homes before finding this blog and now I am overwhelmed with the doubt of buying anything without having a full team and knowledge.
My goals: would be to purchase 2-3 family homes in the hudson country area in New Jersey ( ie; Jersey city, Union city) and eventually live of the rental income in the next 10 - 15 years.
My question is how should someone with little to no knowledge start? Would it be finding the right real estate agent who already has a good team? Would it be spending a few weeks reading and trying to build a team myself ? Should I seek out a mentor ?
All your comments or referrals are very much appreciated!
