selling MY home
I just got an estimate for painting the interior of my home, to prepare it to sell. House is 1165 sq feet. Work will be moving some large furniture--beds, sofa, fridge, stove, computer table, washer/dryer. All walls will be painted, including closets, doors, and ceilings. Two ceilings will have popcorn removed, and finish will be hauk and trowel--kitchen and one bedroom.
One estimate was $2600, the other about $2800.
One ceiling is damaged, that's why the popcorn will be removed and hauk and trowel will be done.
That's a lot of money for me. There has been no painting done for at least 10 years, and maybe the 5 previous to that. The house is 15 years old. Is painting necessary? Will I get that money back? Should I have it done? Would you?
I can't do it myself. The price includes low voc paint.
