Conflict of interest?
Hi all! I am currently working for a real estate investor in my hometown. I stumbled upon the position just because it is office work and that's what I have experience in- I didn't even know what the job entailed until
I started. I show their rental properties/draw up leases etc. I don't think the owner and his wife have any idea what I REALLY want to be doing is flipping houses. It excites me and I have a real passion for the design of the homes. The problem is...I have no capital to get started but I'm confident I would be successful and make money. Do I approach my boss and ask if he's interested in being a private money lender? There would be more risk involved for him if a. The deal turns bad and I'm still his employee or b. I am so successful and I want to continue flipping which would ultimately lead to me leaving and pursing flipping as a full time job.
So...is it worth asking or should I pursue other avenues of lending?
