Getting started - advice on growth plan?

Hi,

I have been an avid reader of BP for a few years, and recently took the plunge into real estate investing myself. I've purchased two condos in the Boston area (Allston and Jamaica Plain) this year.  I like the strong demand from students and young professionals in these areas, and am looking to further expand.

For investors familiar with these areas, do you have any advice (both near term and long term) about how I scale. Specifically:

+ How do you make the leap from investing in a few condos to multi-family (2-4 family units)? (Particularly given the price points of the metro Boston area)

+ If you were in my shoes, what kind of growth goals would you set for yourself in the next 2 years? 5 years? 10 years?

Thank you so much! I have so many questions and realize this is a fantastic forum to learn from others who have been in my shoes before.

Jenny
