Free $$ from MLG&W in Memphis for Commercial Buildings

If anyone owns any commercial buildings in Memphis that have the old T-12 florescent lighting, look at this link and you may qualify for MLG&W to pay to have your lights retrofitted to T-8's.

Memphis Light, Gas and Water - MainStreet Efficiency

The basic qualifier is if your building has a demand of no more than 50kw per meter.  They will pay $1,500 per meter (which is approximately 27 light sets).

We got approved for $6,000 worth of free lighting for our largest building (4 meters - 10k sf) and it basically covers all of the lighting in the building except those in the lobby.

The rep. that came out said that they think they will run out of money around the end of Sept. (funded by TVA), so if you could benefit from this, contact them ASAP.  Once the money is allocated, the program is done.
