Investing with my dad who has different goals

Hey there! So my dad and I own a couple Duplex's together and are looking to buy more investment properties. We have decided that it is time to talk about our goals and buying properties to meet those goals. My dad is 54 years old and plans on retiring at 62. I am 28 years old and am really just getting started into my professional lives. I guess when I boil down our goals, we are both looking for cash flow. I guess I would just like to hear what people's ideas are to mesh our goals and if they have had to work through something like this. Not sure if I am getting my point across but hopefully someone knows what I am talking about. Thanks!
