California Probate Investing Education

.I'm trying to get educated on the probate investing process in California. I know there are plenty of knowledgeable investors on BP.Where did you learn about the process? As of now I am mailing to probate leads and I will ask questions as they arise. I'm sure it's not the best way, but I want to build momentum with my mailings as I learn . What are your thoughts on this.I appreciate all feedback. Thank You.

Well, apparently I violated the rules by mentioning my plans for probate products. So, I won't bring it up.

Ryan, Michael, you really can learn a lot by hanging around attorneys, however I've found that it's been a slow, tedious way to get answers that I've sought. Another problem is that the speakers at attorney luncheons tend to speak on topics that relate to estate planning rather than real estate problems.

It's the latter topic that I've learned to solve, quite profitably I may add. In my early years I tried to avoid problem files because they seemed to be a nuisance. With the exception of foreclosures, things like liens and other title issues were initially a mystery to me. When I learned to make a bundle from solving a paper problem my attitude changed and I started looking for problems to solve, not avoiding them. I've gotten pretty good at it and now the attorneys call me to solve problems that they can't sort out!
