Starting out in Oregon and Kansas

Hello, I am new the the real estate community. I am looking at starting to purchase rentals in the SE Portland, OR and Overland Park/Olathe, Ks area. I was wondering if either area has groups that do meet-ups. My checkbox is on the multifamily side, 2-4 units that way it can be house hacked at the beginning.
