Eliminate grout in bathroom by using LVT on floors and in shower of rental?

I dislike traditional tile because grout tends to get dirty looking and needs maintenance over time, especially in the bathroom.

Since LVT is supposed to be waterproof and can be snapped together, would you guys recommend using it on the bathroom floor and in the shower instead of traditional tile + grout?

Most of whatever is available only comes up to my neck. At four of my rentals I've used Formica White Matte  laminate glued over plywood. Strong. Tenant can't kick it in like tile/wonderboard. You can get formica in 10' long sheets. I take it all the way up to the ceiling. One is 9 feet! Your only joint is the corners, which silicone caulk handles nicely.  To each his own, but I love it. My first, 40 years ago still looks like the day I put it in. Sharp, clean, and no mold. Unlike, all my other rentals with standard surrounds that tenants never clean. Attach a trim edge to the outter sides, nice.  I would not use LVT. That's got leak written all over it.
