Partnering with a Investor

Im trying to understand the logistics of doing business with an investor.

How does the approach work?

Say if I find a property and I finally get in touch with a potential investor.

Im sure he's going to want to know details about the property.

What if he/she starts requesting property address. Do I provide it?

What if he/she takes the info I provided and runs with it??

Is there a contract that can be signed prior to providing specific information? or a system that needs to be followed?

Steve
