Downpayment required for overseas investors!

Hi everyone,

My name is Justin and I recently moved to London from NYC. However now I am looking to invest back in the US. I have reached out to a few personal connections (mortgage brokers, loan officers, etc.) and have gotten the general sense that an investment property would be min. 20% down with a c. 100bps increase on rate.

Wanted to ask the group if there are any other ways around securing a cheaper downpayment? Even 15% would be a huge help.
