Re: the offer I made on a short sale: Yesterday MY agent wrote up a time extension addendum giving them 25 days to respond, and sent it to the seller agent. She just called and said the seller agent sent her an open ended addendum. It reads:
"Extension of time of acceptance is undetermined based on lender approval."
My agent says if I find something else before the lender approves the offer I made, I can cancel my offer. She says there is no way she knows of that I can lose, I just can't spend the escrow money.
Basically, I think this gives me some standing in the purchase of this place, and I can continue looking and maybe find a better place.
Is there any way you folks know of that I can lose by signing this extension?
