How much would you spend on your first deal?

Posted

Hello all,

i am a newbie investor. I am starting to look for duplex/triplex in the Houston area.

i am working with a realtor who's sending some properties my way, but, as probably most of you, i am not 100% certain if i should go big on my first deal or play it safe in a different area (out of Texas maybe) and start with a much lower investment.

What is your advice/experience?

You probably had this question a million times already, so i apologize in advance.

Your insights are much appreciated.

david

On your first deal, I wouldn't recommend going too far from your home base. The logistics get much more complicated when you can't go visit the property on short notice.
