Hi Guys,

I need an advice on

I have been using a tax consultant for last few years. He is not a REI oriented tax consultant. He is does all. My scenario is, I have 3 rentals (2 I owned for a few years and 1 acquired a month back), and I am a partner in an retail store LLC that is not making much of a profit and a W2. My tax guy is not an experienced REI tax professional as i mentioned and based on what I have read or listened to on Bigger pockets, i should work with someone who is experienced in doing taxes for real estate investors. what do you guys think based on my scenario?

If I need to find someone else can you guys suggest a good CPA? I am based out of Raleigh NC area.

Thanks in advance.

SD.

I would try asking folks in a local networking group if you can. I once spoke for the Triad REIA, they have a lot of experienced real estate investors who are local to you. Dollars to donuts they'll be able to give you a few local referrals!
