Home extension (Redmond WA)
Hi all,
We just recently moved to Redmond. Our home is 3 bed 2 bath. Rooms are tiny. We are planning to extend our home and add a master suite of around 200 sq ft. Is it possible to extend our place and is there a place to check online if it is allowed and who can I reachout for approval?
Thanks

Hi @Bharat Chatla, you will need to go to the planning department at the City of Redmond to get a permit. Many Cities follow this rule, if it is a renovation and you are not moving walls, you do not need a house plans, but if you are moving walls and add an extension, they may ask you for a house plan. I will send you a message with a link for where to apply at the City website.
Let me know if you still have any questions.
Thanks!
