Who has experience converting office/retail space to residential?

I have a retail/office space that is the first floor of a

Multi use facility I own. We str the upstairs and I’m considering converting the downstairs to residential to do the same.

My business (in the ticket resale space) was occupying the downstairs before but now we have shifted to working remotely.

The space has 12 foot ceilings, has a kitchenette and a bathroom without a shower. Most of the space is open concept with a few non load bearing walls.

I’m seeking some design ideas on how to get the space to a place where we can rent it as a short term rental, but also possibly convert it back to office space if we need to in a year or 2.

Does anyone have experience in designing this sort or space or the conversion of retail/office to residential. The space is about 1100sq ft
