The cost depends upon a number of things, in my experience. In Austin Texas, there is a wide variety of companies that will fix the foundation. There are some that have a bunch of overhead and advertise a bunch and then there are the mom and pop business folks that operate out of their houses. The prices will vary of course. Get three bids. Ask for references. Ask to see their last few jobs. Its important to ask about the jobs prior to the ones that they recently worked on. You will want to know the quality over a year or so. So that is the cost of the foundation.

There is more... With foundation problems there are possible plumbing issues, sheetrock repair, flooring repair, exterior wall repair, etc. If it was erosion that caused the issue then you will also have to figure out how to remedy that issue. Maybe you will want to add gutters and increase the soil level around the foundation of the house. I have even had an issue of a big bee hive in the wall once before as slipped into the cracks of the exterior to build a big bee hive in the wall. In that case, I had to also deal with a pr thing when the bees got angry when we were fixing the foundation and stung the neighbors.. (no kidding)

That said, I love houses with foundation issues as long as its priced accordingly. One can get very good deals if one knows how to fix a foundation issues, usually.
