Finding Vacant/Raw Land
Hello BP Crew!
I have been searching high and low for the best place to start in terms of finding vacant land. I am very interested in the topic of land flipping but I am unsure where everyone is going for an easier approach to locating this land.
As with most investors I am looking for vacant land that is currently owned by distressed owners that have pending tax obligations. I have used Zillow to search for recently sold land in an attempt to find areas that are more sought after and from there have accessed the county tax assessment site. I did receive a tip from another BP user who said to check out Seth Williams, where I am finding good info, but wanted to accompany that with suggestions here.
I believe there has to be a better way to search for these properties. The approach I have been using is very time consuming and inefficient.
If anyone can shed some light on what are the preferred sites or services I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

In Columbus Ohio we have a 1 year supply of land. That means the number of land lots available if no one put any others on the market is 12 months to sell it out. Buyer's market. Part of being a wholesaler is having a value proposition. I wouldn't recommend land flipping as a strategy unless you are prepared to entitle the sites and spend money on soft costs to have the sites shovel ready. That is called development. Buying and selling land isn't really much of a strategy and I don't think I'd recommend it.
