Your 3 tips you would give for building a new home

I have done a lot of gut rehabs, additions, add-a-levels but I am likely doing my first knockdown re-build this summer. Excited to start. I am the builder. I own the property so no owner screaming in my ear at least haha.

I would love to hear 3 quick tips to help me avoid some mistakes in this process. Curious what you guys have...
