Duplex/triplex house hacking tips

My wife and I are currently shopping around for our first property. We are trying to find a triplex so we can live in one unit and rent out the others. I'm definitely taking advantage of all the knowledge that I can get my mind and hands on. Any prior experience or tips for our first investment would be amazing. So excited to be apart of this amazing community. Thank you for everyone's input in advance. Hope everyone has an amazing prosperous day. 😀

Anyone who knows how to use the internet will find out you are the owner. If you lie about it and they find out, they will never trust you. That is bad advice. What you want to look for depends on what you are comfortable living in? Your best bet to cash flow the most is an uneven multi meaning the units are not the same sizes. So in a two-family, if there is a 4 BR and 1 BR, you live in the 1 BR and cash flow the 4 BR. In a three-family, if there are two 2 BR units and one 1 BR, you live in the smallest unit and cash flow.
