Best real estate syndication resources?

Question

Hey all! I just started working for a real estate syndicator and am beginning the process of getting as much education on the subject as I can. Do you have any books or resources on the subject that you'd recommend? I know the question's been asked a bunch of times, but I'm a nerd and love finding as many resources as I can.

1. How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

2.Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

3. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki

These aren’t real estate syndication books, but I found them to be valuable.

In addition to all the resources listed you can start reviewing offering memorandums for the types of properties listed in the market you’re interested in. You should also sign up for investor list of other syndicators to see how they package them present their deals. Many sponsors offer lots of educational content and also have YouTube channels as well

Podcasting is just about the easiest way to shortcut your learning curve.  I recommend switching to the Overcast app instead of using the stock Apple podcast player app on your phone.  There are way many more features and you can customize the listening experience much better.  I blaze through many episodes per week on 2X to 3X speed on topics such as economics, taxation, law, capital raising, etc.  Always trying to sharpen my sword.  It's one of the reasons why I created a podcast for others.

- Against the Gods: The Remarkable Story of Risk by Peter Bernstein

Like some of the other recommendations, they're not real estate specific, but I'm finding that getting a broad understanding of financial history is helping me find my footing in the multifamily world.

Hi @Matthew DeMichele.  Great question. You should consider the book "It's a Whole New Business" by attorney Gene Trowbridge.

And "The Real Estate Guys" have a semi-annual how-to syndication event you should consider. They just did one in Dallas last month.  Great stuff!
