HOW I TAPPED INTO MY POWER BASE DURING THE HOLIDAYS

I had lunch with my aunt (who is a nurse) yesterday to make up for not seeing each other during the holidays. Naturally, the topic of real estate came up. She was telling me that she has been wanting to invest in real estate for a long time, but her husband is scared of the "risk" that comes with investing. Moreover, she was telling me how she doesn't really know where to start with the researching and networking needed to succeed in the business. I realized that I am truly offering an opportunity and service to people. I told her that the best thing she can do is save hr money because I will opening up investment opportunities in the near future. I explained to her that with this first apartment deal I am doing by myself so that if I make any mistakes I  will make them with my own money so that once I start taking on investor capital I will be more experienced in investing since I have gotten the rookie mistakes out of the way. I also explained to my aunt that she will be able to leverage my networks and market knowledge by investing with me so that she does not have to do the heavy lifting herself. After explaining to my aunt how real estate investing works I got a soft commitment from my aunt.

I started thinking about all of the times I had a conversation with my family/friends (power base) who are personal trainers, lawyers, government workers who are high income earners and want to invest in real estate, but don't have the bandwidth to find solid investments. I can tell you in today's market you can't depend on brokers to find solid deals. Brokers want sell you market price and want to tell you you can't find deals that are under market. But let's be honest brokers just want to make money. Brokers don't understand that if I buy a property for double of what the seller originally bought it for that property tax is going to sky rocket and the property is not going to cashflow (if you are a broker please don't DM me I don't want to hear it lol). People need investors like me to build a lead generation system and network with local professionals to find actual good deals to put their hard earned money into.

Lastly, the only reason why my family, friends, and colleagues know that real estate investments opportunities exist with me is because all I talk about is real estate and I post about my journey online. Also, people know I am an honest person, with integrity, so they can trust me with their hard earned money.
