Once you decide to dive into the real estate investing world, it won’t be long before you hear the term “Accredited Investor.” Once you notice how many passive commercial real estate or crowdfunded investment opportunities publicly advertised and therefore limited to accredited investors, you may get curious.

To be an accredited investor, you must:

1. Have had an annual income of $200,000 (or $300,000 for joint income) for the past two years, and expect to earn the same or higher income this year.

OR

2. Have a of over $1 million, not counting your primary home.

What unique things are you doing in your business to attract accredited investors?

Justin

@Justin G. Word of mouth referrals is the best way to do it and it takes time. I think it’s important for people to know there is not an easy button to attract accredited investors. You need to build your track record, experience and have lots of conversations with investors. @Dan Handford do you have anything else to add?
