Multifamily Phoenix, AZ

Hi all, my husband and I moved to the Phoenix valley over a year ago and want to buy a multifamily home that we can live in and rent out. However, we’ve seen and heard that the multifamily homes around here are in sketchy neighborhoods and people have discouraged us from buying them. I’d love to get more input and thoughts about buying and possibly living in a multifamily home in Phoenix. Thanks in advance!!

Should be pretty easy to do some research on the areas you find a multifamily. There are multiple crime report websites out there that can provide data on crime rate in a particular neighborhood. Personally, I'd go down to your local police station and ask them about a particular neighborhood after you identify some properties.

They will know with certainty whether it's an area that's often patrolled or whether there tends to be a lot of crime in that neighborhood.
