Hello BP community,

Im under contract for a 15 unit Multi-Family that has popcorn ceilings.

I have been told to leave it alone of course but I wanted to hear from any of you that have experience in buying a property with this type of ceiling.

Thanks in advance for any advice or feedback!

@Jeff Quinlan I think it depends on your market and what type of property and what your end goal is??

Is it a B area, and all the other apartment communities do not have popcorn ceilings, granite etc...

I don’t like them either, and usually change them out as they become vacant during rehab/turnover. There are companies out there that do popcorn ceilings and are quick and awesome at removal, but it does smell and need to be out of the unit for about two days, so just remember to factor that into your turn

Congratulations on the new asset!
