Post: Cost segregation Questions

Hello BP,

Question about cost segregation. I understand in general the Benefit of doing a study. My questions are the following..

Is there a down side to waiting? I was told you should do a cost seg in first year of ownership.

If you going to have cap expenditures so no profit for a year or two on the property … is there a downside in waiting until there are profits?

1031 … my understanding is the cost seg benefits can extend to the replacement property. Love to hear feedback on this!

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

@Brad Hammond

Brad thanks for the questions and input! I think at this point given timing refi is the way to go.

Hello BP,

General question. I have several single family homes and looking to buy multi family. These homes are in good areas and low balances.

I’m debating 1031 or refi ... love to hear any feedback that I might not be considering.

Hello BP community,

I have experience with Multi family however I have an opportunity to invest with a partner on a industrial property. The property is fairly new, good tenant history and is currently a 6 cap.

I would love to hear from those of you that have invested in industrial and what your experience has been in general.
