Thinking of selling duplex due to septic issues Mableton, Atlanta, GA area. County gave me one more last month of extention to fix all the issues. My septic contractor taking forever to build channel drain around the property. Also county now asking to put Elgin system also. If i do not complete by July 10th i have to face legal action by county. I like to understand what legal action county may take? Is it is like thousands of dollars penalty or some other punishment they give? I am trying to understand worst case scenario while i am working through this unknown territory? Please advise. Thanks in advance

Hi @Gp G.. Given the short time-frame and high stakes, you need immediate local legal advice. I'm not sure BiggerPockets is the best place to be planning your next move!

You also need a more responsive and time-sensitive septic contractor!

I may be able to assist with referrals for both. DM me if you'd like my help.

You do not want to get on the bad side of the Cobb County Board of Health.
