Has anyone ever rented property to section 8 ? If so do you think they are better tenants? I am looking at property that is in a rougher area & wondering if section 8 would be the best way to go.

@Danielle Clark Section 8 does not give you the tenants. You still advertise and screen like you would or any other property th difference is that you take a section 8 voucher which there is a smaller pool of tenants that have them but they don't get placed in your units. This means that you get to pick who lives there even if they are receiving assistance. Section 8 should be used when the area will not support market rent prices because section 8 is offered at market rate or close to it. If the area is nice and you can get above market rent then section 8 no longer makes sense.
