New Commercial Real Estate Agent needs some guidance
Hello everyone, It has been exactly one year since I started in CRE and man has it gone by fast. I guess its a good sign that I at least made it to the one year mark considering 90% of agents quit by the first year.
Anyways, I got lucky enough to close one deal this year but have been pretty dry ever since. I was hoping someone more experienced here could give me some tips and pointers to becoming successful in my field. I work with mainly multi-family in Los angeles. I cold call at least 2-3 hours a day, read a bunch of books about real estate, look on globest.com every now and then.
Speaking of which, wondering if anyone here has ever gone to a CRE networking or conference. I saw one from GlobeSt called RealShare Apartments 2012. Was thinking of maybe registering for it but its 300 dollars for a one day conference... Is it worth it? Anyone ever been to these before?
As you can tell, my broker does not really train me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
