Section 8 in old hotel?

Good morning BP, There is an old 32 door motel for sale in my home town. Would it be a viable strategy to convert to one bedrooms and accept section 8. There are a lot of homeless vets in town and I've heard that vets can easily get the voucher. Any info would be great. Selling for 700k but it's been for sale over a year and vacant.
