Preparing to buy my first mutli-plex in California

1st, I am new to BP and I must say, wow what a wealth of information all you provide. So thanks first and foremost!

2nd, I currently own three homes in Southern California and am looking to sell one and move on to purchasing a multiplex. My main question is, what should I expect to be wildly differently purchasing the multiplex vice my single family homes? Pitfalls, lessons learned, "I gotchas"? Thank you in advance and looking forward to interacting with all of you.
