I am doing what Brandon suggested:

Plus Brandon said tell people what you want to do.

Well I am taking action within 24 HRS now and I am telling people what I want. What better place than starting with BP.

I too want to buy a multi-family / apartment complex in the USA.

I have no money to speak (not many starters do) and I want to develop a relationship with a JV partner or investors.

Who else is in the same situation? Maybe we can work together?

Here is me saying again “I too want to buy a multi-family / apartment complex in the USA”.

@Philip Charlton, it is awesome that you want to acquire multifamily. I had the same desire as well, you can can read my story at this thread: I quit my CPA Job to Buy Large Apartments.

You stated above of your goal:

Now really rip this goal apart:

• WHY do you want to buy MF
• How many units
• What type of deal -momentum, value-add, repositioning
• How much money do you NEED to make buying MF
• How much do you WANT to make buying MF
• Where are the properties located - own backyard/different state
• Do you have time to be involved in this business
• Who will manage
• How will you find the deals
• Do you have the funds to close
• Will you do a syndication
• Who is on your team - brokers, cpa, attorney, contractor
• I can keep going...

The purpose of this exercise is to get you very clear on your specific outcome. It is better to know the answers to the above questions as it will help you accelerate faster to accomplishing your goal.

The most important thing is the WHY. The WHY will keep you motivated and engaged through the process. The pathway to owning MF's can be challenging, but I know, since I have done it, that great things can be accomplished.
