Hi,

I would like to know how you funded your first small multi-family (4-10 units) invetsment. This will give me ideas on funding for my first fourplex I am thinking to buy.

Thanks,

PJ

@Pj Arora I had one family member co-sign on my loan to increase my max purchase price and then another family member did a private loan that I pay back monthly for the rest of the down payment. When doing co-signers and an FHA loan you will need to have the co-signer living int he property as well. This changed the deal for me and that's why I had to bring in a private lender. Speak with you mortgage lender on this before you decide to go under contract.
