First Apartment Building Deal - Getting the right info and numbers

Blake Grzybowski
Posted

I came across a 24 unit property and was able to get in touch and talk to the owner about it. I am trying the get the income and expenses from him and he put me in an email to the owner of the current property management team about getting the necessary paperwork. I was just wondering how long this typically takes because it’s been a few days now with no information. Any help about the process and time it takes to typically do a multi family deal will be greatly appreciated!

Quote from @Justin Moy:

I think it would be somewhat unusual to have to wait a long time unless they're very old school. Management portals now collect data in real time and it should be as simple as exporting a file from that platform.

I reached back out. It's a semi-odd situation, but we are getting there. I reached back out today and already received a response. They wanted to talk to the seller first about the information and what to send (not exactly sure why they needed to do this), but said that after their meeting this afternoon I should receive the info today.
