Underwriting software or personalized excel sheet

Jason Thompson
Posted

Hi, guys just wanted to take a mini poll / ask everyone what their thoughts were on paid software for underwriting or creating a personalized excel sheet with the customized metrics that you use to evaluate deals. I have had success with my own excel sheet, but I am wondering if anyone has an input for the paid subscriptions?

Thanks, and I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

@Jason Thompson I have utilized both customized excel spreadsheets and paid software and I like to use both in my underwriting packet under the line items of software and manual underwriting respectively.

I use DealCheck + RentCast for the software underwriting part. I’ve saved templates for my parameters and that has helped me swiftly analyze multiple deals a day vis-a-vis spreadsheets which can be a little more tedious.
