Extending Sheriff Sale, Auction, Broward County
Hi all,
I put a property under contract last night but it is suppose to go on sheriff sale This Thursday 06/27. How can I get the bank to hold/extend the sheriff sale, in order to do all the title work and closing?
I spoke to one of the banks representatives but he said I needed to close on Thursday!
But that gives me no time for the title work
any suggestions?
thanks!

I don't know how your court system works, so I can't answer "how". The agreement is the sales contract, "purchase and sale agreement", whatever it's called; basically to show judge that this does not have to foreclose, the lender will be paid from the proceeds of the sale.
And that reminds me that the agreed purchase price has to be sufficient to pay the judgment and costs, or else it won't matter.
