I did a BP search for IRS Lein and searched through the first plethora of pages. I haven't seen any topics relating to the purchase of IRS tax liens.

Has anyone here on BP purchased IRS liens?

Any words of wisdom / advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

Jerry Diddy Just to be clear, are you sure you're buying the IRS lien, OR are you actually bidding on buying the property (sounds like in your case you bought the husband's 1/2 interest in the property). There is a difference in buying the Lien, as opposed to bidding for the property itself, when the IRS Enforces it lien. Some people use the term "buying the lien" when they are actually buying the property, as a result of someone else "enforcing" their lien by bringing the property to auction.
