Redemption of tax deed property

Hi I need some help!!, ,I bought a property from the State of Alabama land Commisioner on 1/30/15 for unpaid taxes. The state sent me a tax deed according to the deed the probate court had decreed the lands for sale 3/26/11 due to the unpaid taxes of the previous owner. The deed also stated that the time allowed by law for redemption had elapsed . I recently received a notice from one Birmingham Real Estate Solutions(LLC) stating that the previous owner had quit claimed his rights to them and they are demanding the right to redeem the property. The quit claim deed dated 9/27/17. Does anyone know if this can happen? I have been maintaining the property although I have not lived in it. I really hope someone has answers for me please
