Getting involved in Section 8

How do investor's go about using Section 8 housing to help families who might not been able to find a place to stay otherwise. Heard tremendous things about being involved in the program, just curious as to how to one might go about doing so.

You are correct in your assessment that some section 8 tenants can be a problem. But you are incorrect by saying you are leasing to the government and the landlord has no control over who rents their property. The fact is the tenant is tenant, section 8 only pays the rent or portion of the rent. The landlord still screens, selects the tenant and holds the tenant to the lease terms just like any other non section 8 tenant. If your neighborhood is declining due to problem tenants, it's the landlords that are not doing their job not the section 8 program.
