My realtor says he can't help and Bank of America can't seem to..

Good morning all.

Recently I came across a property in town that has a weatherization sticker in the window. I went to the town records and found the taxes are being paid by Bank of America. After going to B of A's REO search I found they do not have it listed. After that I called B of A's REO line on their website. That gives me the run around.

Then I went to my local realtor to ask how I might get in contact with someone to talk about buying the property.  He said he could not help me. Being that I live an hour from the nearest B of A - I don't have many opportunities to visit a branch (no excuse I know.)

My question is: does anyone know someone at Bank of America that I might talk to about the property or know of a direction to go in that might bet me more information and an opportunity to buy the property from them before the end of the year?

Thank you all and Merry Christmas.

Chris

As investors, we have 20+ other ways of finding deals, besides pre-foreclosures, or those properties taken back by the bank. Why compete with the rest of the world on a bank REO that has to be listed on the MLS, when you can use other avenues that put you in a position where you are the only one dealing with the homeowner......? Now and again, you CAN get decent deals on REO's, but they're few and far between depending on where you live and the better deals are likely to have more risk because they might be in tougher areas (rough, or out in the sticks...), or have some pretty hairy issues to handle such as wet basements or significant structural problems etc. Be careful of spinning your wheels and wasting time - we have to be as efficient as possible to win at this game!
