Wholesaling

Wholesaling....Can I find a wholesale deal off zillow? redfin? etc.

Do I give the seller the impersonation that I am actually buying the house, in order to get the property in my name? How do I go about " what and what not" to say?

Earnest money..How do I consider what amount of money for earnest fee? or it is up to the seller?

@Tawana Brown Why would someone buy a 'wholesale' deal from you that is listed on a retail market place? They could just buy it themselves. Unless you can get it under contract for a significant amount less than what it is listed for, then maybe you'd have something.

But if you do try this route, please just be transparent with the sellers and tell them exactly what you're doing. You're looking to buy houses significantly under the market price and resell them to an investor.

If it was me I'd look for the houses with the longest 'days on market'. There is some reason those houses aren't selling either they're overpriced or there is some problem like a bad location or funky layout. If you can get them under contract for a big discount and/or have an idea of how to solve the problem you might have some luck with that approach.
