California Double Close Question....

LG Walton
Posted

We do short sales and have a double close in California. The attorney we were using just walked out. Does anyone know a good transitional funding company and a title company that will not balk at this transaction. Also, has anyone ever had issues with transparency and the buyer's lender? Any help is appreciated!

You will want to look for independent escrow companies. Most are located in So Cal. None of the big title companies will allow their escrow officers to do double escrows (the liability is too great). If you use an independent escrow company they will usually accommodate double escrows.
