Sheriffs sale
I'm interested in buying a sheriff sale property. There are 2 liens on the property the 1st filed by the mortgage holder and the 2nd filed by the township the house is in. The 2nd one is for $16,000 from a block grant for home improvements. I know tax liens are always paid out but I'm wondering how block grants work? Would I be on the hook for the 16K above the purchase price? I've called to attorneys in that area and neither has called back. Thanks for any info
