Help tracking a forclosure via public records

Hey Guys,

Looking to get some advice from those more experienced with the foreclosure process.

I'm looking at a house in Putnam County NY that has been vacant for about 6 months, word of mouth from the neighbors is that it foreclosed.

I used the county's eparcel website http://www.pcnygis.com/gis/eparcel/  to search by address, from there I was able to find the owners name.

I then used the NY Land Records site  http://hosted.uslandrecords.com/cgibin/homepage?Co... to search that owners name.

The last recorded document I see attached to the owners name is a referee's deed with the buyer listed as U.S. Bank Trust, N.A.

So it looks like this bank bought this house, but the only contact info on the deed is for the buyers attorney.

This is where I'm lost, I couldn't find this property in a public listing for auction, on the county court calendar or as a REO property on the banks site. I also searched land record transactions linked to U.S. Bank Trust, N.A. after the date of the initial deed and came back with nothing, so it doesn't look like this property was sold yet.

Where do I go from here?

Contact the attorney? Try to get a hold of someone in the REO's at the bank?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Nick
