Fannie Mae First Look
1Br / 1Ba 800 sq.ft. property in the middle of a small business district that is zoned commercial just listed on homepath with 20 day "first look" period. I'm interest in the property, but not as an owner-occupied business, not a primary residence. The lenders I all talk to say that you can't get residential financing on property zoned in commercial, so I'm not sure who they are waiting on to buy this property. Is there anyone to plea this case to beyond the listing agent? Is there a way to legally purchase while being upfront about not using as primary and pay the "liquidated damages"? I am a real estate agent, so I'm not going to jeopardize my license by knowingly lying on the owner-occupied form, but I didn't know if anyone else had a way around these rules. Thanks
