Many top investment/capital companies are shorting the CMBS.

Any thoughts?

How would you go about investing in a time like this? I’m currently waiting until the dust settles

It depends on what space you're in and the deal. If it's a great deal you may want to strike. Financed deals are still getting done but taking a bit longer. You need to make sure you use conservative assumptions with zero rent growth and higher vacancy, give yourself plenty of time, do not go hard on EMD and include Covid-19 clause.
