Question about Yellow Letters and Commercial Real Estate

Hi, I was wondering if sending yellow letters was mostly used just for sfh and individual property owners. Is it common to also send them to companies who own apartment buildings? Just wondering if you'd need to send something more formal to a property owner that's a company. thanks
