Old downtown buildings

Hello BP, I am interested in getting information on getting a loan for a building type that I am not very familiar with. I am putting a restaurant in a smaller town in Georgia and it makes more sense to purchase one of these old historic downtown buildings in the square rather than renting. I am not familiar with the types of loans that go into these kind of buildings but a few of the buildings are very long and typically have apartments leased on the backside and seem really neat. Does anyone have any experience with these types of older buildings? If so, what kind of financing makes the most sense, helpful tips, etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
